GIGI HURST
President & CEO / Habitat Specialist
Ms. Hurst has been the Owner/Principal of Habitat West, Inc. in Escondido
since the company was founded. Ms Hurst established Habitat West as
a sole proprietorship with an exclusive agenda of providing the highest
quality native habitat restoration and management services. Ms. Hurst
has over 23 years of experience in the botany/horticultural field, focusing on implementing and maintaining
numerous long-term contracts for both wetland and upland mitigation
sites. She has overseen the restoration of over 4,200 acres of land in Southern California. She holds a B.S. Ornamental Horticulture, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a minor in Botany from the University of California Santa Barbara
STAN WILLIAMS
San DIego County Regional Superintendent
Mr. Williams has been with Habitat West since 2009. As the Regional Superintendent for San Diego County projects, he oversees habitat restoration projects during all phases of development. He has experience with riparian, coastal sage scrub, freshwater and saltwater marsh, oak woodland and wetland habitats. Mr. Williams is always innovating new methods to further the mutual goals of Habitat West and our clients.
JIM CORBETT
Orange County Regional Superintendent
Mr. Corbett has worked for Habitat West in a supervisory role since 1995. During this time, he has completed over 100 successful projects in Orange, Los Angeles and Riverside counties, ranging from 1 to 250 acres each. As the regional superintendent, he oversees the installation of habitat restoration projects from start to finish including the design and installation of irrigation systems, non-native plant removal by manual and mechanical means, and heavy eqiupment operation. Mr. Corbett is also responsible for managing the on-going maintenance of each project its ensure long-term success.
